Dr. Anthony K. Jensen is the author of The Philosophy of Will: A Re-examination of Late-Modern German Philosophy, published by Routledge in 2025. The book recovers an often-overlooked tradition in nineteenth-century German philosophy, tracing interconnected conceptions of the “Will” from Goethe to Nietzsche. Dr. Jensen demonstrates how these thinkers understood Will not simply as a source of human action, but as a fundamental force shaping nature, creativity, existence, history, and moral values.
